Our village
Midvale was platted in 1888 in the Tuscarawas River valley of eastern Ohio, halfway between the cities of New Philadelphia and Uhrichsville. Today the village covers about 0.74 square miles and crosses portions of three townships: Goshen, Mill, Warwick.
Roughly 673 residents call Midvale home (per the 2020 census). Children in the village attend schools in the Indian Valley Local School District — Midvale Elementary is located within the village itself.
The village operates its own police department, contracts with the Village of Dennison for fire protection and Smith Ambulance Service for EMS, and has transitioned its water utility to Aqua Ohio under a 2024 Asset Purchase Agreement.
