Privacy

What we collect (almost nothing), how it's used, and how long we keep it.

The short version

This website does not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies for tracking. It does not share information about your visit with third parties. The only personal data we collect is what you voluntarily submit through the contact form.

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps short-lived logs of requests to the site for security, abuse prevention, and operational reasons. These logs may include your IP address, the page you requested, your browser, and the date and time. They are not joined with personal information and are kept for a limited period.

The contact form

When you use the contact form, the message you submit (along with the name, email, and any other information you provide) is delivered by email to the appropriate village contact and is retained as a record of correspondence. Public records laws (Ohio R.C. § 149.43) may apply.

Your IP address may be recorded with the message for abuse-prevention purposes. We do not use this information for marketing, do not share it with third parties, and do not retain it beyond what's needed to respond to your request.

Cloudflare Turnstile

The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to deter automated submissions. Turnstile is a privacy-respecting alternative to traditional CAPTCHAs — it does not use cookies and does not track you across sites.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

Updates

If our practices change — for example, if the village adopts an analytics tool — this page will be updated to reflect the change.
