About this Demonstration Site

What this site is, who built it, and how it might become official.

What this site is

This website is a demonstration built by a Midvale resident to show what an official Village of Midvale website could look like. It is not currently sanctioned, endorsed, or paid for by the Village of Midvale.

The information on this site has been compiled from publicly available sources — audit reports from the Ohio Auditor of State, election filings, news media, and the village's existing public records. Items that have not been verified directly with the Village are clearly marked as "Pending verification."

Who built it

This site was built by Ryan Pastircak, a Midvale resident with professional experience in technology and operations. The work has been done on a volunteer basis as a community contribution.

Why a demo?

Many small Ohio villages do not have a dedicated website, or they rely on informal Facebook pages that don't meet the accessibility, transparency, and records-management expectations of a modern government. This demo is a working artifact — something Council can see, click through, and evaluate before deciding whether to officially adopt it.

What official adoption would look like

  1. Council passes a resolution authorizing the site as an official Village resource.
  2. Council authorizes an application for a .gov domain at get.gov.
  3. The maintainer and the Village enter into a no-cost services MOU governing hosting, updates, and ownership.
  4. The "unofficial demo" banner is removed; the site begins running under the Village's domain.

What this site doesn't do

  • It does not collect personal data or use trackers.
  • It does not solicit donations.
  • It does not display advertising and never will.
  • It does not pretend to be an official Village resource — the demo banner is mandatory until Council approves.
