About the Office
The Mayor is the chief executive officer of the Village of Midvale and serves as the chief conservator of the peace within the village. The Mayor presides over Mayor's Court for minor traffic and ordinance violations under Ohio R.C. Chapter 1905, signs ordinances passed by Council, and represents the village in official capacities.
Under Ohio R.C., when a mayoral vacancy occurs the Council President serves as Acting Mayor until a regular election can be held to fill the remainder of the unexpired term.
