About the Court

The Mayor's Court of the Village of Midvale operates under the authority of Ohio Revised Code Chapter 1905. The Court has jurisdiction over minor traffic and ordinance violations occurring within the village limits.

If you received a citation

The citation you received will indicate a court date. You generally have three options:

• Pay the citation — instructions on the citation, or contact the village office during business hours.
• Appear in court — arrive at Village Hall on the date and time printed on your citation.
• Request a continuance — contact the village office in advance to request a new court date.

More serious matters

Mayor's Court only handles minor offenses. More serious matters are transferred to the New Philadelphia Municipal Court. Defendants always have the right to have their case transferred to a court of record.
